Texas Parole and Criminal Defense Attorney

If you are facing criminal charges, if you are up for parole, if you think you were wrongfully convicted of a crime and need a new lawyer to appeal your case, or if you want to expunge a similar arrest from your record, contact the Ritenour Law Firm, P.C., in San Antonio. Attorney John Ritenour has the vast experience, in-depth legal knowledge, and sound judgment you come to expect of your lawyer during these difficult times.

I know your rights and how to protect them.
Please call 210-222-0125 to schedule a free consultation.

I handle a full range of criminal defense cases at both the state and federal level, including everything from trespass and fraud, to murder and writs of habeas corpus. I have successfully represented people throughout Texas since 1995.

Over the years, I have developed a systematic approach to our practice of criminal law that is effective in even the most difficult cases:

  • I work with our clients- I listen closely, pay careful attention, and ask detailed questions in order to learn everything I can from my clients about their unique situation
  • I visit the scene- If there is an accident or crime scene, I will not hesitate to investigate
  • I hire outside investigators- If necessary, I retain outside assistance to help build my client's cases, including firearms and accident reconstruction specialists, autopsy experts, psychologists, and others
  • I find witnesses to testify- In addition to locating witnesses, I also prepare them to testify
  • I organize and plan every case thoroughly- The parole review process, for example, is essentially a paper review. I construct a standout presentation in order to enhance the probability of parole and leave nothing to chance
  • I help families- Having a supportive family waiting on the outside can make all the difference when presenting an application for parole review. I help families organize their efforts in support of their loved ones
  • I bring strong intellectual prowess to the legal process- Many attorneys avoid appeals and writs of habeas corpus because they are extremely complicated and time consuming. I am readily able and willing to handle these types of cases for my clients

Practicing law is a second career for John Ritenour. He chose to become a lawyer after retiring from the United States Air Force as a full colonel in 1992. He has an academic background in computer science and mathematics.

From DWI charges to death row appeals, I plan diligently and work tirelessly for all of my clients. If you need a Texas criminal defense attorney, please contact my law firm to tell me about your situation.
